Derek Frye

Derek Frye is a fictional character from the ABC soap opera, All My Children. He is the Police Chief of the Pine Valley Police Department. He was portrayed by William Christian from 1991 to 2005, and is currently portrayed by actor Charles Parnell, who assumed the role in 2005.

Derek's romantic relationships on AMC have been few, but over the years he has been partnered with Angela Hubbard (the widow of his former mentor Jesse Hubbard), Mimi Reed (a fellow police officer whom he eventually married), and Taylor Roxbury-Cannon (another fellow police officer and stepsister to his nephew Terrence Frye).
