[edit] Genesis PR
Hi Dharma, I am currently requesting a peer review of Genesis. I love what you've done with the Floyd article and I was hoping you could share your experience and insight in critiquing the article as it stands now. Link: Wikipedia:Peer review/Genesis (band). Thanks AreJay 21:12, 1 April 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Dharma, I've made a few changes based on the PR comments and suggestions. Can you take a look at the article and tell me if this is any better? The article still needs some copyediting, but I feel I have addressed most, if not all, of your recommendations. Thanks AreJay 14:38, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Pink Floyd and Presence
First off...enjoy re-connecting with Presence. After my own talk page discussion about it I've listened to it several times this week. Also, I support your quick link fix on the PF article. Let the decisions on how it should be handled come from mediation. At the same time I enjoy many of those 'un'official links. It'll all work itself out eventually. Cheers! - RE:the spammer....his tactics have taken an aggressive turn with blanking out the talk page and making idle threats. I guess he underestimates the intelligence of wiki-admins? through all his talk of mediation, 3RR and admin complaints...he has yet to proceed with any of his actions, other than starting an RV war. He may get bored of trying to sell shirts soon???...hopefully! Anger22 23:54, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

- Excellent detective work Holmes! I think we've seen Achilles Last Stand. He's just a drop in the bucket though. There's spam links all through Wiki. FA's, hopefully, can be kept fairly clean. Take Care!!! Anger22 11:38, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I was clearing AIV when I noticed the dispute. I didn't see your welcome message before, but I've now read it and it looks good. I'm not sure why Onanisland did what he did, but I imagine that it's just because he has different ideas about what wikipedia should be like. Hopefully the break will help everyone cool down and get discussion going again. I'll keep an eye on it, but let me know if you need anything. —Spangineer[es] (háblame) 06:12, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

I have responded to your comments and placed a single example clip at the top of each "era" in the history section. If I can help further, let me know! —BorgHunter ubx (talk) 21:44, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] James Joyce
I've got no strong views on Joyce's religious beliefs or lack thereof (call me agnostic on that issue -- Ha! Ha! I slay myself sometimes!), but was only reverting the blanket addition of the Category:Atheist tag. The anon IP didn't even bother adding the family name into the category tag, like you're supposed to.
I actually haven't read much Joyce or much about him: I was required to read Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man three times in college, which was not a chore by any means, but jeez, professors , widen your scope a bit, okay? And Dubliners, where the end of "The Dead" still brings tears to my eyes. But, if I ever book a trip to Dublin, I guess I'll have to pick up Ulysses. Finnegans Wake? Scares me. --Calton | Talk 00:01, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] WP:SIGN reversion
The reason your capitalization fix was reverted by someone else was because decapsing the "o" breaks the acronymic compression (TROLL). --maru (talk) contribs 00:07, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Old Skool Esperanzial note
Since this isn't the result of an AC meeting, I have decided to go Old Skool. This note is to remind you that the elections are taking place now and will end at 23:50 UTC on 2006-04-29. Please vote here. Thanks. --Celestianpower háblame 20:42, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Genesis
Hi Dharma, just wanted to let you know that Genesis is now a featured article candidate. Please vote aye or nay on the FAC page. Thanks! AreJay 14:11, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Pink Floyd
Thank you for the kind words on my user page. Sorry that I'm a little late to respond. There has been some edits from an anonymous IP today on the Pink Floyd article. Some of them seems OK, but some of them seems to lean towards a point of view of the editor. Do you have a possibility to take a look at the latest changes? Do you also have a possibility to take a look at the Wish You Were Here (1975 song) article? There is a contradiction there. I was putting in the quote from Waters long time ago, and I think that's the correct verion of how the song was written because it was something Waters said just a few months after the recording, but I don't want to go into a revert war. - I think your thougts make sense. Floyd(Norway) 22:04, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Wikiproject Horror/Collaboration of the month
Hi! I noticed your name on the Wikipedia:WikiProject Horror membership list and am writing to all members who have not voted for the Collaboration of the month. Today is the designated selection day to choose the collaboration, but we currently have a tie between the two articles receiving the most votes, John Carpenter and Dario Argento. I am hoping to remedy this by drumming up a few more votes. Note that by voting for any nominated article (not limited to these two) you are indicating your "commitment to support and aid in collaborating on that specific article if it is chosen," so please feel absolutely free to ignore this message if for any reason you don't wish or would not be able to participate.--Fuhghettaboutit 22:47, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] a quick note
Hi Dharm, haven't chatted since that "Pink Floyd external links fiasco". Just wanted to pass along a quick note. Keep an eye out for IP 67.189.99.161 who has been editing a few music articles lately including some Pink Floyd related ones. Most of the contributions from this IP are vandalism. And even when the edits seem valid....in all likelyhood it is just text that is copied directly from another website. Just thought you might like to know. And...as always....great work keeping the PF article "clean n neat". Cheers and take care! Anger22 10:02, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

- I see you tagged the talk page. There is nothing but ignorance and disruption coming from that IP. Also note the way the user signs talk page rants...Dragong4. That is a Wikipedia user name that was blocked back in May for a month after being a constant thorn. Know any sympathetic admins that can put a long term anchor on this pest? Take care! [edit] A short Esperanzial update
As you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.
As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.
Thanks and kind, Esperanzial regards, —Celestianpower háblame 16:00, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

Turns out it IS up for GA status - I misread the date for the original failure, so if you want to visit the talk page to vote, that would be great!-plange 18:20, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
