Eastleigh is a local government district and borough in Hampshire, England, bordering Southampton. Its main town is Eastleigh. Other places include Bishopstoke, Hamble-le-Rice, Hedge End, Chandler's Ford, Fair Oak, Horton Heath and West End.
The River Hamble forms the eastern border of the district with Fareham.
The current borough was formed on April 1, 1974 under the Local Government Act 1972, by the merger of the old borough of Eastleigh with part of Winchester Rural District.
