[edit] Background
Seven years after his smash hit Hey Baby, DJ Ötzi released his single with the Austrian singer Nik P., who has also written and released this song 8 years ago.
In those seven years he didn't have any song in the top ten of the charts of any country, except his no. 1 in Japan (I am the Musicman) and his song featuring Marc Pircher (Sieben Sünden).
In the end of 2006 a German Schlager sänger, called Nic sang another version of Nik P.'s Einen Stern,..., the song was known from the vacation-island Mallorca, which is a very popular target group in Germany.
One month later Ötzi recorded this single again and it entried on top of the Austrian charts and two months later it also reached top of the German ones.

[edit] Refrain
German
"Einen Stern der deinen Namen trägt
hoch am Himmelszelt
den schenk ich dir heut Nacht
einen Stern der deinen Namen trägt
alle Zeiten überlebt
und über unsere Liebe wacht..."
Dubbed Version
"A Star, which has your name,
high in the sky,
that donate I to you tonight,
a star, which has your name,
survives all times,
and supervises our love..."
[edit] Critic
In Austria and Germany the important radio stations refused to send the song, because the genre didn't correspond the style of the programmes.
DJ Ötzi's and Nik P.'s song was one of the first Schlager songs, which reached number 1 in Austria and Germany of the 21th century.
