Elaine Noble

Elaine Noble served in the Massachusetts State House of Representatives for two terms starting in January 1975. She was the first openly lesbian or gay person elected to a state legislature. Served two terms as representative for Fenway/Back Bay neighborhoods of Boston.
In March 1977, she was part of the first delegation of gay men and lesbians invited to the White House (Carter White House) to discuss issues important to that community.1
Outside of state politics, she was a healthcare administrator and is a realtor.
