eMOTIVe is the third (and final) album by the American rock band A Perfect Circle. It was released on November 1, 2004 (although in the United States on the following day). It was released to coincide with US Presidential election. The album contains 10 political covers, and 2 'original' songs which are also covers. "Passive" is a cover/remake of "Vacant" by the ex-supergroup Tapeworm and "Counting Bodies Like Sheep To The Rhythm of the War Drums" is also a follow up of the song "Pet" released by A Perfect Circle in 2003 on the album Thirteenth Step. It debuted on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart at #2, behind the various artist compilation, Now 17. It was certified Gold by the RIAA on 9 December 2004. The album cover shows Los Angeles in an Armageddon-like state.

[edit] Trivia
- "Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of the War Drums" was originally perceived to be a remix of the song "Pet" from Thirteenth Step. Maynard James Keenan spoke about this song on aMOTION and insists that it is not a remix, but rather a second part of "Pet".
- The track "Passive" is a remake of "Vacant", a song created by Keenan, Lohner, Trent Reznor, et al. for the Tapeworm project which never saw the light of day.
- "Passive" was also featured in the film Constantine, starring Keanu Reeves. The video includes clips from the film.
- After the release of this album, A Perfect Circle went on what they called a "hiatus" as frontman Maynard James Keenan decided to continue with his former band Tool. Although many believed that A Perfect Circle was actually breaking up for good, making it likely that eMOTIVe would be their final album.
