Enthused
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Enthused" is a song by the band blink-182. It is a song about superficiality and is featured on blink-182's second major album, Dude Ranch. While the song was never released as a single, it exemplifies the evolution of blink-182's sound from their promotion demo release Buddah to their initial rise to fame following the success of Dude Ranch.

[edit] Origin
"Enthused" was initially released on the Buddha promotion tape but under the title "Strung Out". It was later re-titled "Enthused" for its inclusion on the Wasting Time EP (only released in Australia). blink-182 kept the title for the song's final release on Dude Ranch.
[edit] Differences between Releases
The earlier recordings (Buddha and Wasting Time versions) include both Mark Hoppus and Tom Delonge on vocals. The Dude Ranch version just features Tom Delonge.
[edit] Trivia
- Enthused is often featured in voting polls on blink-182 fan sites, pinned against more popular singles such as "Man Overboard".
[edit] History of the word
The word enthused is back formation of the word enthusiasm. Many debate over whether this is an actual word. It is advised not to use enthused in formal writing.
