23 June - The future Edward VIII of the United Kingdom is created Prince of Wales by his father, King George V.
July - Dockers' strike at Cardiff culminates in rioting. Five hundred troops are drafted into the area.
13 July - The new Prince of Wales is invested with his title in a ceremony at Caernarfon Castle, devised by David Lloyd George.
August
- Rioting in Bargoed, Brynamman, Ebbw Vale and Tredegar. Jewish-owned businesses are attacked. Troops are brought in.
- During a strike in Llanelli, two men are shot dead by police.
September/October - Rioting during industrial unrest in Swansea.
A Welsh Nationalist League is founded at Carmarthen to campaign for Home Rule.
