Alpha Lyncis (α Lyn / α Lyncis) is a Class K7, third-magnitude star in the constellation Lynx. It sometimes called by the Arabic names Elvashak or Alvashak (الوشق al-washaq), and Al Fahd (الفاحد al-fahd), both meaning "The Lynx" or "The Wild Cat".
Alpha Lyncis is a variable star located about 220 light-years from Earth.
