Blake-Jones
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Blake-Jones is an east end Toronto neighbourhood, as defined by the city of Toronto. The neighbourhood is in the lower East end of the city, bordered by Danforth Ave to the North, Pape Ave to the West, Greenwood Ave to the East and just south of Riverdale/Boultbee Ave the CN Railway closes the loop.
Houses are more affordable in this neighbourhood than most, as the average value is in the lower half of homes in the city. Most homes are semi-detached with very few people living in high rise towers, which is quite common in Toronto.
While not a religious centre, by comparison, there is an above average Muslim and Greek Orthodox community living in the area and yet the largest visible minority group is Chinese. This fine mixture is typical of the city of neighbourhoods and the city of communities.
