Bleeding Hands (real name Andy Hughes; born in 1979 in Macclesfield) is a British singer songwriter, and Guitarist. He is a native of Manchester, England.
His name was inspired by his dedication to the guitar and i similarity to Simpsons TV Character Bleeding Gums Murphy. He has been playing guitar since 1994, at first in and around Nottingham where he was at university in 1998, then nationwide in the United Kingdom and Internationally playing in Poland. He is known for playing marathon busking sets (often exceeding six hours), his eclectic musical taste, his love of a "nice cup of tea" and roots acoustic music, is sometimes sparse often endeering, and always passionate...
Bleeding Hands debut album, Unplugged, was released independantly.
His most notable hit "Strange Addiction" was voted 5th in Radio Six International record of the year 2006.
His albums contain tracks about abuse, drugs, love and hate. His album artwork and music videos are noted for their distinctive cartoony style; taken from the style of South Park.
Having performed regularly in Manchester for the last year, completing over 70 gigs, playing on 106.9 Silk FM, Allfm, and being play listed by radiosix international, Bleeding Hands has a bright future. currently songs such as Jesus and Elvis (Unplugged Album), Promise Land (Unplugged Album) can be found podcsted widely across the internet.
