Eiheiji, Fukui

Eiheiji (永平寺町; -chou) is a town located in Yoshida District, Fukui, Japan.
As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 6,520 and a density of 129.37 persons per km². The total area is 50.40 km².

On February 13, 2006 the town of Matsuoka and the village of Kamishihi from Yoshida District merged into the town of Eiheiji.
