El Cerrito Plaza is one of two elevated BART stations located in El Cerrito, California. It primarily serves southern El Cerrito, northern Albany, and Kensington, along with nearby areas of Berkeley and Richmond. Outside of the station is the El Cerrito Plaza shopping center.
Service at this station began on January 29, 1973.[1]

The station hosts the first BART trial of bikelink on-demand electronic bicycle lockers (traditional BART lockers are leased by the year, and are almost always fully booked). These are the same lockers used by C-TRAN of Vancouver, WA, as funded by the US EPA.
