Hollows in Bleach

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is a list of known hollows and arrancar in the anime and manga series Bleach.

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Contents

[edit] Hollows

Main article: Hollow
  • Fishbone D (フィッシュボーンD Fisshubōn Di?)

Fishbone D is the hollow that attacks the Kurosaki Clinic in the beginning of Bleach. He is a humanoid hollow with several fish-themed features. He is purified by Ichigo.

  • Hexapodus (ヘキサポダス Hekisapodusu?)

Hexapodus is a weak, spider-like hollow that tries to eat a child while Ichigo and Rukia watch. It is purified by Ichigo.

  • Acidwire (アシッドワイアー Ashiddowaiā?)

Acidwire is the snake-like hollow form of Orihime's brother, Sora. He regains his reason after having his mask partially shattered in combat and purifies himself with Ichigo's zanpakutō. He has a humanoid upper body with snake-like lower body. He gets his name from his ability to spit acid.

Shrieker is a bat-like hollow that attacks Chad after the latter gets a cockatiel possessed by the spirit of a dead child. Shrieker can fly and control little creatures he describes as his "artillery." The creatures can shoot leeches out of their heads that attach to anything they hit. By vibrating his tuning fork-shaped tongue, Shrieker can make the leeches explode. The boy's mother was killed by Shrieker when the latter was a living serial killer, and he used the boy to attract and devour shinigami who came to put the boy's soul to rest. The bounty reward for Shrieker was 5000 kan (the shinigami currency). He is sent to Hell instead of Soul Society for committing serial murder as a human, as a zanpakutō can only wash away the sins a soul commits as a Hollow.

  • Bulbous G (バルバスG Barubasu Ji?)

Bulbous G, as his name hints, is an oversized, melee-style hollow whose mask resembles a Guardian Lion. Bulbous G is defeated by Chad after he awakens his latent powers while trying to protect Karin Kurosaki.[1]

  • Numb Chandelier (ナムシャンデリア Namu Shanderia?)Voiced by: Barbara Goodson

Numb Chandelier is a female, octopus-like hollow who dislikes fighting, preferring to float out of reach. She attacks by firing seed-like projectiles at humans, co-opting their bodies and using them as fodder. She can also fire the seeds like missiles. Numb Chandelier is defeated by Orihime Inoue after she awakens her latent powers while trying to protect Tatsuki Arisawa.[2]

Metastacia is an experimental hollow used by Aizen years before the start of the series. He had the abilities to destroy any zanpakutō just by touching it, and merge with any shinigami, taking over their body permanently. His name most likely originates from the Greek word metastasis, meaning 'a change of state' and also refers to the spread of cancer throughout the body. He took over the body of Kaien Shiba, and with the merger being permanent, Rukia Kuchiki was forced to kill the two. Metastacia was designed to return to Hueco Mundo after being killed, so he could be analyzed. This lead to Kaien also being revived, and coming into control of the body. Sometime after, the body was eaten by Aaroniero Arleri, giving him the abilities of both Metastacia and Kaien.

  • Pesshe Gatiishe (ペッシェ・ガティーシェ Pesshe Gatīshe?)

Pesshe is a humanoid hollow whose mask resembles an insectoid head with a large pair of mandibles. He wears an eyepatch and a loincloth. Unlike other hollows, Pesshe is fairly tame. He travels with his adoptive hollow brother and arrancar sister, Dondo Chakker and Nell Tu, along with their hollow pet, Bawabawa. He wants the "Great Desert Brothers" to be the title of their group. After Nell decides to follow Ichigo into Las Noches, he attempts to follow her, running into Uryū instead. Pesshe judges people by appearance, and believes that Uryū is the weakest member of the group, while ranking Chad as the strongest. He seems very delighted that Uryū remembers his name, but he has trouble remembering who exactly Uryū is, often confusing him for Ichigo. He possesses an ability he calls "Infinite Slick,"[3] in which he sprays his saliva at an object, severely reducing its friction. Though seemingly useless, he is able to render Cirucci's weapon ineffective by coating it in his liquid, and it can be used similarly to make opponents lose their footing. The liquid is limited in supply, contrary to its name.

  • Dondo Chakker (ドンドチャッカ Dondo Chakka?)

Dondo is a large, spotted hollow with a tiki mask and compound eyes. He appears to speak in a yakuza-style. Like Pesshe, he is fairly tame in comparison to other hollows. He travels with his adoptive brother and sister, Pesshe and Nell Tu, and their pet, Bawabawa. He wants the "Three Brothers" to be the title of their group. Like Pesshe, he attempts to chase after Nell and Ichigo in Las Noches, but ends up finding Renji instead.

  • Bawabawa (バワバワ?)

Bawabawa is a giant, worm-like hollow whose mask consists of a simple plate on his head. He bears some resemblance to the sandworms of Dune fame. He acts as both the pet and transportation for Pesshe, Dondo Chakker, and Nell. Bawabawa tends to throw fits for not being included in the group's super sentai-styled introduction sequences. Bawabawa is unable to survive outside of sand, and thus does not follow Nell and his other friends into Las Noches.

  • Lunuganga (ルヌガンガ Runuganga?)

Lunuganga is a giant hollow made of sand whose head resembles a sand castle. He is the Guardian of the White Sands, and acts under orders from Las Noches. Being made of sand, he's immune to physical attacks and can control the sand around him to attack. Being made of sand, however, makes him weak against water, and he is easily dispatched by Rukia Kuchiki as a result.

  • Lumina (ルミーナ Rumīna?)

One of two fat, humanoid hollows that appear to Zaera-Polo to tell him that Aaroniero has been killed. He may or may not be Zaera-Polo's attendant.

  • Verona (ベローナ Berōna?)

The other of two fat, humanoid hollows that appear before Zaera-Polo to tell him that Aaroniero has been killed. He may or may not be Zaera-Polo's attendant.

[edit] Arrancar

[edit] Espada

The Espada.Top row: Noitora, (unnamed), Grimmjow, Aaroniero, Halibel.Bottom row: Yammy, Stark, Ulquiorra, Zaera-Polo, (unnamed).
The Espada.
Top row: Noitora, (unnamed), Grimmjow, Aaroniero, Halibel.
Bottom row: Yammy, Stark, Ulquiorra, Zaera-Polo, (unnamed).

The Espada consists of ten members. The members are listed here in order of rank where this is known, and order of introduction for those whose rank has not yet been revealed. Two Espada, while shown, have yet to be named and are not listed here as a result.

The only female in the Espada ranks, Halibel does not seem to talk much. She has dark skin and blonde hair, and wears an oddly-cut variation of the arrancar jacket that has long sleeves and bares most of her midriff as well as a good portion of her chest. She also carries her zanpakutō on her back in a similar fashion to Soifon; the sword itself is notably broad compared to others. The remnants of her hollow mask have not been completely shown due to her covering them with her collar, but it is clear that she at least has pieces of mask on each of her cheeks.

  • Stark (スターク Sutāku?)

Stark is a male arrancar who appears to be very lazy. At the beginning of the meeting in which the Espada are all shown, he is heard complaining of having just woken up prior; he is also seen asleep while all the other Espada were being informed that one of them had been killed, and doesn't seem overly concerned by the news. His shoulder-length hair is dark and parted down the middle. He also has a goatee. The remains of his hollow mask consist of a bottom jaw that is positioned like a necklace. His hollow hole is on his sternum, right below the tip of his mask.

[edit] Privaron Espada

  • Dordonii Alessandro Del Socacchio (ドルドーニ・アレッサンドロ・デル・ソカッチオ Dorudōni Aressandoro Deru Sokacchio?) - 103rd arrancar
Dordonii Alessandro Del Socacchio
Dordonii Alessandro Del Socacchio

Dordonii is a Privaron Espada, demoted from his former rank as an Espada after Aizen acquired the Orb of Distortion. Dordonii's face resembles a stereotypical portrayal of the Devil. His hair is done into a pair of "horns" and he has a van-dyke beard and moustache. The remains of his hollow mask consist of a small plate with horns mirroring those in his hair. Dordonii's arrancar outfit is customized to fit his eclectic personality, with fringe on the forearm portion of the sleeves, a poofy black sash tied at his waist, shoulder pads, and openings down the front which reveal his black undershirt. In comparison with the other arrancar, he has a more goofy personality, similar to Don Kanonji's. He is much more serious in battle, however. During his battle with Ichigo, Dordonii refers to Ichigo as "niño" (Spanish for "boy").

Dordonii fights with Ichigo during the break into Las Noches. After pestering Ichigo to use his full power, including donning his hollow mask, he is quickly beaten by the masked Ichigo. After his initial defeat, Dordonii is healed by Nell and tries to fight Ichigo once more, but is easily stopped and his sword broken. Dordonii reveals that he was forced to accept his demotion in favor of more powerful arrancar created by Aizen, but believed that he would be accepted back into their ranks if he beat Ichigo at full power. Dordonii appreciates that Ichigo showed him his full power in their fight when he didn't have to, and in return fights against the Exequias for Ichigo, stalling for time while the boy escapes. He seems to have taken a liking to Ichigo, warning him that he must give up his merciful ways and become as coldhearted as those he is facing. He is implied to have been killed by the Exequias.

Dordonii's zanpakutō is named Giralda (暴風男爵, lit. Storm Baron, but read as Giralda) and is released with the phrase "rotate" (旋れ maware?). When Giralda is released, Dordonii grows large horns on his shoulders and armor that starts at his feet, wraps around his calfs, and juts out at his waist with two more spikes. His mask also extends, framing his face. While released, two enormous cyclones come from the armor in his legs which keeps him hovering in the air, as well as adding a lot of extra force to his kicks. In addition, two bird-like extensions jut out from these cyclones, which are used to execute long-range strikes. Dordonii is able to release his zanpakutō without unsheathing it.

  • Cirucci Thunderwitch (チルチ・サンダーウィッチ Chiruchi Sandāwicchi?) - 105th arrancar
Cirucci Thunderwitch
Cirucci Thunderwitch

Cirucci is a female Privaron Espada, demoted from her former rank in favor of Aizen's artificially-created arrancar. Her appearance is akin to the gothic lolita style of Japanese fashion. Her outfit consists of a frilly dress, large poofy sleeves that cut off at her shoulder, short purple-colored hair, teardrop markings on each cheek, and knee-high boots. She also wears fingerless, evening-style gloves and leg warmers attached to garters at her thighs. Cirucci has wings on her back, but it is unclear if they are part of her outfit or something else. The remains of her hollow mask are positioned in her hair right above the left side of her forehead and resemble a spiked hairpin. Depite her rather odd appearance, she has no qualms about pointing out when others have similar habits, as she does to Uryū Ishida. She also gets quite bothered if an enemy attacks her while she is talking.

Cirucci ends up fighting Uryū after he separates from the group in Las Noches. Though he is outclassed at first, Uryū eventually manages to sever the source of her spiritual power by firing an arrow through a specific point on her body. He spares her life since she is no longer a threat; however, she is implied to have been killed by the Exequias after Uryū's departure.

Cirucci's zanpakutō is named Golondrina (車輪鉄燕, lit. Car Wheel Iron Swallow, but Spanish for swallow) and is released with the phrase "rip off" (掻っ切れ kakkire?). In its unreleased state, it takes the form of a whip with a spinning disk looped into it that is capable of deflecting incoming projectiles in addition to its function as a standard whip. Released, Cirucci sprouts large wings with ten moon-shaped blades in place of feathers. The wings seem to enable flight, but this is unclear. In addition to their normal offensive and defensive properties, Cirucci can remove these blades and fire them through the air or summon them back at her own will. Her wings and feathers vibrate at high speeds that increase her attack and defense capabilities. Her arms also become long and she gains sharp claws on each hand. Armor that resembles the spinning disk of her zanpakutō appears on each of her shoulders. Her mask grows into 'feathers' flowing from her forehead, down her back, and then coming out from each side at her waist. Cirucci's release consumes her spiritual powers rapidly, but she can get around that problem by ripping off her wings and long claws, instead using the tip of her elongated mask to collect spiritual energy and use it to fight (this change is permanent though).

  • Gantenbein Mosqueda (ガンテンバイン・モスケーダ Gantenbain Mosukēda?) - 107th arrancar
Gantenbein Mosqueda
Gantenbein Mosqueda

Gantenbein is a Privaron Espada, having been demoted in favor of Aizen's artificially-created arrancar like his fellow Privaron Espada. He wears an afro-style haircut with thick sideburns and a goatee. His outfit has been modified to match his particular style, including large frills on his collar and thighs. The remains of his hollow mask are a sunglasses-shaped plate on his forehead with four teeth coming out above each eye. There is a star in the center of the mask fragment, which allows Gantenbein to see when he pulls the plate down over his eyes.

Gantenbein encounters Chad when he separates from the group in Las Noches. Before releasing his zanpakutō, he fights using close-combat combo attacks. Through his battle with Chad, he inadvertently helps Chad unlock his true potential, since Chad's powers are similar to those of hollows. Gantenbein is defeated by Chad who spares him in thanks for fighting with all of his strength and helping him grasp his full power.

Gantenbein's zanpakutō is called Dragra (龍拳, lit. Dragon Fist). In its sealed state, it exists as a pair of two-pronged punching daggers attached to Gantenbein's wrists by hinges. When Dragra is released, Gantenbein's arms grow longer and become covered in dome-shaped, armor plates, and the punching daggers come to resemble dragon heads. Similar plates also extend down his back and form a tail, giving him an appearance similar to an armadillo. He pulls his mask fragment over his eyes in combat. When attacking, his tail emits energy that he gathers in his hands and shoots forward in one powerful blast, destroying everything in its path. Before doing so, Gantenbein says to himself, "Dios luego nos perdone" in Spanish meaning, "May God forgive us."

[edit] Números

From left to right: Edorad Leones, Nakim (top), Ilfort Grantz (bottom), Shawlong Qufang, and D-Roy.
From left to right: Edorad Leones, Nakim (top), Ilfort Grantz (bottom), Shawlong Qufang, and D-Roy.
  • Shawlong Qufang (シャウロン・クーファン Shauron Kūfan?) - Voiced by: Hideyuki Tanaka

Shawlong Qufang is the 11th arrancar in Aizen's army. Shawlong has a long face and black hair, which is braided and usually hanging over his shoulder. What remains of his mask is on the top of his head, but a portion drops down covering part of his face.

Shawlong is an intellectual, or at least an analyst, able to confidently state the nature of his opponent's powers. He is also unusual in that he identifies his arrancar number in Italian ("undici") rather than Spanish ("once") as is common amongst arrancar.

Shawlong at first easily overwhelms Tōshirō Hitsugaya when they fight during the second raid on Karakura Town, but is equally overwhelmed once Hitsugaya is allowed to unleash his full power.

Shawlong's zanpakutō is named Tijereta (五鋏蟲, lit. five-scissor insect, but Spanish for earwig). The name is similar to the Spanish word for scissors, tijera. It is released with the phrase "snip" (裁て tate?). When released, Shawlong grows claws on his fingers and his queue becomes a tail with claws.

  • Edorad Leones (エドラド・リオネス Edorado Rionesu?) - Voiced by: Kusunoki Taiten

Edorad Leones (often mistranslated as "Eduardo" or "El Dorado") is the 13th arrancar. Edorad appears to be a very large man, with long red hair; however, half of his hair is shaved and is black. The remains of his hollow mask are merely the eye holes, which rest on his nose, and it essentially looks as if he wears unusual glasses. Edorad fights and is killed by Ikkaku Madarame during the second attack on Karakura Town.

Edorad's zanpakutō is named Volcanica (火山獣, lit. volcano brute, but Spanish for volcanic) and is released by the phrase "awake" (起きろ okiro?). When Volcanica is released, Edorad's arms grow longer and much wider, similar to Chad's arm, and they become covered in what looks like volcanic rock. His arms also gain an exhaust spout at the shoulder. He is able to shoot fire from his fists in this form.

  • Ilfort Grantz (イールフォルト・グランツ Īruforuto Gurantsu?) - Voiced by: Enkin Kouichi

Ilfort Grantz is the 15th arrancar. Ilfort is a sarcastic, effeminate arrancar with long blonde hair which resembles Jūshirō Ukitake's. What remains of his hollow mask is on the top of his head, and looks like a broken helmet. He commonly refers to other characters as "brother" when speaking. He is fairly powerful for his rank, able to fight off Renji Abarai's final release (at 20% power) without releasing his zanpakutō. In contrast, however, he is little match for the surprisingly strong Ururu Tsumugiya in his normal state, but easily dispatches her once he releases his zanpakutō. He is eventually killed by Renji, who has his power limit lifted to deal with Ilfort. He was the older brother of Zaera-Polo Grantz, the 8th Espada.

Ilfort's zanpakutō is named Del Toro (蒼角王子, lit. "blue/pale horn prince, but Spanish for "of the bull") and is released by the phrase "skewer" (突き砕け tsukikudake?). When Del Toro is released, Ilfort turns into a bull-like creature, complete with horns. He even walks on four legs.

  • D-Roy (ディ・ロイ Di-Roi?) - Voiced by: Kondo Takashi

D-Roy is the 16th arrancar. He is one of the few arrancar to appear before the formal introduction of the species, showing up to help the hollow Grand Fisher remove his mask.[4] The remains of D-Roy's hollow mask are bulky and similar in shape to a hammerhead shark's head. The right hand side of his mask is wrapped in bandages, which obscures his right eye. When the bandages are unwrapped, there is merely a hole where the eye would be. He also has jagged teeth, adding to his shark-like characteristics. D-Roy is killed by Rukia Kuchiki when she unveils her zanpakutō's initial release during the second attack on Karakura Town. Ilfort disdainfully refers to D-Roy as an "arrancar in name only."

  • Nakim (ナキーム Nakīmu?) - Voiced by: Taketora

Nakim is a fat, silent arrancar. He only speaks once to answer a question before his death. The remains of his hollow mask cover the entire right side of his face. Nakim is killed by Rangiku Matsumoto during the second attack on Karakura Town when she releases her limit and gives him multiple fatal wounds.

The name and exact abilities of his zanpakutō are unknown, but in the later stages of his battle with Rangiku, he appeared to have grown to an enormous size, large enough to crush her under his foot. It can be conjectured that this is his sword's ability. Curiously, his physical appearance, height aside, did not change at all.

  • Demōra (デモウラ?)

Demōra is a large, frog-like arrancar with short dreadlocks and abnormally long arms. He is introduced with Iceringer. His hollow mask covers the top half of his face, the left half of which is shattered by Chad during their battle. Demōra's low intelligence is the cause of his inhuman appearance (arrancar appear more human by virtue of their intelligence); nonetheless, he is still furious when labeled as such by Iceringer. His usual method of attack involves gathering spiritual energy from his surroundings (similar to the Quincy), concentrating it in his palm, and releasing it as he strikes his opponent. His special attack is to use his long, whip-like tongue to attack opponents. His strength is nowhere near that of Chad's, and he is easily defeated. Demōra's lanky body and distinctive mask design are quite possibly meant to resemble stilt-walkers and festive masks.

  • Iceringer (アイスリンガー Aisu Ringā?)

Iceringer is one of the few arrancar individually shown before the introduction of the species, appearing as a shadowy figure along with D-Roy when Grand Fisher is first sent to the human world. Iceringer's formal introduction is at the same time as Demōra. He has a very bulky mask which resembles a bird's head, leaving only a small portion of his face visible. To go with the mask, he has spikes running down the length of his back, as well as thin, skeletal wings and fingers. Iceringer doesn't seem too concerned with his appearance, stating that he and Demōra deserted their human forms to gain greater power.

Iceringer is a long-range fighter, using his wings and fingers to fire projectiles while using his speed to keep away from his enemies and dodge attack. His special attack is called Uña Tirotear (翼状爪弾, lit Wing Nail Bullet), which rapidly fires projectiles to a limit of 108 consecutive shots. Despite his large firing rate, he is easily overpowered and defeated by Uryū Ishida, whose firing limit is roughly twelve times that of Iceringer. He dies when the room collapses after his and Demōra's defeat, but not before telling Uryū that Aizen fears nothing, and that is the reason the arrancar follow Aizen's path.

  • Lilinette (リリネット Ririnetto?)

Stark's attendant, Lilinette is a young, female arrancar with a "mask helmet" much like that of Ulquiorra's. Her helmet differs in that it is a complete helmet, not merely half of one. A sort of eyepiece also extends over left eye, decorated with a flame-like pattern. Her outfit is quite revealing, consisting of little more than a pair of briefs and a vest strapped over her torso, with her hollow hole positioned prominently in the center of the outfit. She seems quite mischievous in that she enjoys waking Stark up in unusual ways: first by shoving her fist in his throat, then by squeezing his testicles. Despite her initially childish behavior, she does seem to show some concern for the ominous occurrences in Hueco Mundo.

  • Lolly (ロリ Rori?)

Lolly is a teenage, female arrancar who, along with Menoly, was ordered to bring Orihime to Aizen when he wanted to show her the Orb of Distortion. She seems infatuated with Aizen, as shown by her anger at Aizen's interest in Orihime. The remnants of her mask cover the upper-left side of her head and face, including her eye, and has teeth still connected to it. Lolly's uniform fits her name, including a schoolgirl-themed skirt and what look to be black boots that reach her thighs, along with black hair in pigtails. Due to her name, and the fact that her mask is identical to Menoly's, it's possible that the two arrancar are sisters.

  • Menoly (メノリ Menori?)

Menoly is a teenage, female arrancar who, along with Lolly, was ordered to bring Orihime to Aizen when he wanted to show her the Orb of Distortion. Menoly doesn't seem as interested in Aizen as Lolly is, though she is reluctant to leave Aizen alone with Orihime. Menoly's mask is exactly like that of Lolly, except to the opposite side. Menoly closely resembles a female Grimmjow. Due to her name, and the fact that her mask is identical to Lolly's, it's possible that the two arrancar are sisters.

  • Tesla (テスラ Tesura?)

Tesla is a midsized, male arrancar. He appears to be Noitora's attendant. Like Noitora, he wears an eyepatch, but it is shaped differently and covers his right eye. Tesla also wears a different style jacket from most arrancar in that it resembles more of a lab coat. The remains of his hollow mask appear to be a thin upper jaw which forms a circlet around his forehead.

Tesla wields a zanpakutō shaped like a rapier, though it appears he can alter the shape of the blade as he wishes. This is shown when he blocks an attack from Chad with a flat, round bulge in the center of the blade, which becomes a hollow ring showing his hand behind it with his fingers spread out afterwards. He seems to be rather powerful, as he stopped the attack from Chad's left arm quite easily, although this could also be due to Chad already being weakened by Noitora.

[edit] Exequias

  • Unnamed Exequias leader

Though unnamed, the Exequias' leader is responsible for dealing with rebels and intruders in Las Noches. Unlike most arrancar, his face is hidden. He appears to be of a higher rank than the other Exequias, as his skull is bull-shaped, unlike the human-shaped skulls of his companions. He carries a zanpakutō, but its name and released state have not been revealed. He fights Dordonii along with the other Exequias and seems to know him. Later, he and the rest of the Exequias come to finish off Cirucci Thunderwitch after she fails to defeat Uryū Ishida.

[edit] Others

  • Grand Fisher (グランドフィッシャー Gurando Fisshā?)Voiced by: Chafurin (Japanese), Paul St. Peter (English)
Grand Fisher in all his forms.
Grand Fisher in all his forms.

Grand Fisher is a hollow that had evaded the shinigami for over 50 years and is responsible for the death of Ichigo's mother Masaki Kurosaki. In the anime, it is mentioned that he particularly likes to devour women. In hollow form, he resembles a giant hamster with bird-like hands and feet and a tentacle-like limb that hangs from his forehead, similar to that of an angler fish. The angler is vaguely human-sized and can be transformed to resemble anyone Grand Fisher wishes. It can act independently of Grand Fisher, and as long as either the angler or Grand Fisher himself survives, he cannot be purified.

As a hollow, Grand Fisher's preferred method of fighting shinigami involves using his angler in the opposite fashion of that of its namesake. By transforming the angler into a decoy copy of someone close to his enemy, he can keep them from attacking, since they will be unwilling to harm the decoy. He can also grow his hair and fingers into spikes to stab enemies, or use them to restrain an opponent. Outside combat, his angler is used like its namesake, allowing him to distinguish those with high spiritual power from common humans and devour them.

After his defeat by Ichigo, Grand Fisher is turned into an imperfect arrancar by Iceringer and used by Aizen as an experimental subject, a fact ignored by the anime (it is hinted at, but he seemingly accomplishes it on his own). In arrancar form, he resembles a larger, more humanoid version of his old self with a tattooed face poking out from between his jawbones. He carries a large zanpakutō on his back, which is almost as tall as a two-story building. By unsheathing it, he transforms into a huge, monstrous creature with bull-like horns.

When first introduced as a hollow, Grand Fisher fights Ichigo, wounding him greatly but ultimately losing. However, Ichigo fails to purify him. After he is turned into an arrancar, he attempts to get revenge on Ichigo, only to encounter Kon, who is inhabiting Ichigo's body at the time. Kon is rescued by Isshin Kurosaki (in the anime, the modsouls Ririn, Kuroud, and Noba also attempt to help Kon escape, but are unsuccessful), who has resumed his role as a shinigami. Isshin dispatches Grand Fisher in a single strike.

  • Nell Tu (ネル・トゥ Neru Tu?)
Nell Tu
Nell Tu

Nell Tu is a female arrancar toddler who lives in the desert of Hueco Mundo with her adoptive hollow brothers, Dondo Chakker and Pesshe, and their pet, Bawabawa. The remains of her hollow mask make up a cartoony skull on the top of her head. Her hollow hole is obscured by her clothing, which consists of a simple gown.

Nell's appearance is in stark contrast to her vocabulary, which contains a number of bizarre phrases and words one wouldn't expect such a small child to know. For example, she refers to herself as a masochist and calls her uvula a "throat penis". Ichigo assumes her hollow companions are responsible for this. Nell and her companions also represent oddities among hollows. Though most hollows are evil, Nell actually fears shinigami, assuming they are in fact the evil ones. In spite of this, she develops an attachment to Ichigo and follows him into Las Noches.

Nell does not carry a zanpakutō, but has the unique ability to swallow enemy attacks and fire them back with powerful force, indicated by the eyes on her skull mask glowing. She also has the ability to heal others with her vomit.

  • Arturo Plateado (アルトゥロ・プラチアド Aruturo Purateado?)Voiced by: Tomokazu Seki [5]

Arturo Plateado (lit. Silver Arthur in Spanish) is an arrancar designed by Sega, in conjunction with Tite Kubo, specifically for Bleach Wii: Hakujin Kirameku Rondo. Arturo has long turquoise hair, wane pupil-less eyes, and the remains of his hollow mask on his right cheek. It appears to be the jaw, but is extended around the back of his head.[1] His hollow hole is located below the base of his neck.[5]

Arturo's zanpakutō is called Fenice (不滅王, lit. Immortal King, but Spanish for phoenix), but its release command is unknown. He has two different sets of energy wings: the first, which shows what seems to be a regular special (he uses sonido to repeatedly slash the opponent from different directions), he has two blue wings (which look similar to the one wing Uryū Ishida grew when he entered the Quincy Final Form). The second set, which appear during what seems to be his ultimate attack (he hovers in the air and then charges up and fires a cero), look to be made of multi-colored flame.

Arturo is a self-made arrancar so old that he is only recognized by Shigekuni Yamamoto-Genryūsai and Yoruichi Shihouin via her family's scrolls. He stormed the Soul Society and was sealed beneath the Sōkyoku. When Ichigo destroyed the Sōkyoku upon rescuing Rukia at the end of the Soul Society arc, the seal on Arturo was broken and he was freed once again. In the game, he decides to impersonate various captains to regain the pieces of the destroyed Sōkyoku in order to absorb them into his body to become more powerful.
