- The correct title of this article is iDeaS. The initial letter is shown capitalized due to technical restrictions.
iDeaS is a Nintendo DS emulator that can almost run NDS games on Windows PC with OpenGL. So far iDeaS has emulated the ARM7 GBA processor at 100%, but the ARM9 dual screen processor at 90%. The touch screen is fully emulated with a cursor instead of hand. IDeaS works with a keyboard. The emulator is able to play NDS games but the touchscreen is unstable at the moment according to the release notes. The plugin system came originally from UltraHLE N64 emulator so that further support can achieved without looking at the source code of the emulator. There are three plugins currently available. One for the 3D graphics, one for AVI Capture, and one for sound).
The latest news on the Homepage is that Super Mario 64 DS now works on the 1.0.1.3 WIP (work in progress) version of the emulator.
