Johanna Booyson

Johanna Booyson (January 17, 1857–June 16, 1968) is currently the official longevity recordholder for South Africa, although the country did not exist when she was born, and only gained full independence from Britain in 1961, when she was already a centenarian (aged 104). She was also briefly the oldest person in the world, according to the 1967 edition of Guinness World Records.
