Hello LX, this is Exir Kamalabadi, and I hope that you are having fun with Wikipedia. First of all, welcome to Wikipedia! Find something that can be improved, either in content, grammar or formatting, then fix it. Don't be afraid. Be bold! If you do something wrong, there is always someone who will clean up the mess.

[edit] defaultsort is your friend!
Hello! I noticed your edit to Mikael Odenberg, so I thought I should drop by and tell you about the wonders of {{DEFAULTSORT}}.
A sortkey is an alternative term the article should be sorted by when listed in a category. For example to add an article called Albert Einstein to the category "people" and have the article sorted by "Einstein, Albert". You would type "[[Category:People|Einstein, Albert]]". This kind of sortkey you successfully added to Mikael Odenberg in your edit.
But, I reverted most of your edit! Why? Because there is a feature called "Default sort key", which changes the default sort key used by categories from the name of the article to the one specified with the magic word {{DEFAULTSORT}}. Instead of adding |Odenberg, Mikael you simply add {{DEFAULTSORT:Odenberg, Mikael}} above the categories, which I had already done in this case.

I thought USFWS images were public domain as US federal gov agencies. If that's no longer the case, go ahead and delete (I've fixed the typo in the upload comment so that it at least makes sense when it's chopped). A pity, because USFWS has some good bird images. jimfbleak 15:59, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
- You're probably right about that, but you'll also have to provide more specific source information (such as a URL or an ISBN) so that it's possible to verify that the image actually came from USFWS. (Sorry for the delay in the response; I'm away from my personal computer, having started a new job in a new town and trying to find a place to live, so I lack both the means and the time to work on the wikis at the moment.) —LX (talk, contribs) 21:22, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
