What I work on
News
- January 10 : Did my first maths exam. Didn't do that well, probably a C or a B at best, I intend to resit it in may.
- January 15 : Just played my first two games back at my local Scrabble club. Two wins, over 440 in both games. Not too bad for someone who plays in English as a second language!
- January 17 : Have now got confirmation of my application to University. I've applied to the University of Leeds and Leeds Met. I hope to do French. I'll be able to do units in other subjects, and I'd love to do Spanish upto A-level standard.
- January 29 : Two wins at Morley Scrabble club.
- January 31 : Received a letter saying I've been turned down for French at Leeds. The good news is I still have five other courses for the universities to consider.
- February 2 : Accepted for French and politics at Leeds University.
- February 5 : One win, one loss at Morley Scrabble club. Also set a new high score for SOWPODS (595). This is also my highest score in a real-life game (all languages). I've also been accepted for French and philosophy at Leeds uni, but refused for French and maths.
- February 17 : Going to Cannes in France to play Scrabble. Will also have the chance to stay with my girlfriend for a week.
- February 24 : Back from Cannes with 552 PP4 (Scrabble rating points) and a lot of good memories.
- February 26 : My half-brother's first birthday! He was born on February 26, 2006.
- March 10 : Result of my maths exam: B (73%) in the first unit.
