A true story of migration
Alum Harshka, was a Turkmen warrior leader. He and his people were wanderers of the Turkmen plains, where they lived in a sort of Yurt. This was around the time of 1600BC. At a certain period in time, however, there was most probably the necessity to move west. This could have been due to the Uzbek warriors moving west too, and attacking Turkmen settlements. even though the tribe of Alum Harshka fought well, they lived in the Eastern deserts close to the main Uzbek camps. This eventually led to their need to retreat. It is beleived that their population numbers were possibly some 4000 people. the warrior number of the Uzbeks alone may have been some 2000 men. This drove the people west, untill they eventually left modern day Turmenistan, paaing into modern day Iran. There, they lost the Uzbeks, even though their numbers had been well thinned out. There, they spent some 90 years wandering Iranian desert. Then, by about the year of 1470BC. they left Iran, crossing the border into modern day Turkey. There, they travelled across the mountains, untill They reached the Anatolian Plateau under the leadership of Alub Harshka, Alum's great grandson. The year was then 1380BC. just upon the edge of The Anatolian plateau, Alub decided to make their first settlement ever: Konya. the 1000 most weary people decided to settle tere, and let the others move further South. About a year later, Alub died, and his Son, Ejum took over. Next year, they reached a great water mass of the Meditteranean sea. There, they started there new Capital: Antalya. There, they finally settled, and built the town. However, Ejum was a weak leader, and in 1370BC, the first revolution in the tribes history occured. after this, a new leader arose mysteriously from the people. Rezkoert was his name. he was then later crowned: prince Izmir Alkansur I. Izmir took control again of Konya, and started a new Era of Turkish history.

- Aye. I'm the one that changed the official status - let's face it, this is far more like one than an article. But it could use pushing into official format. (and possibly a stub article actually on migration? Adam Cuerden talk 23:45, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
