PlateSpin is a privately owned software company headquartered in Toronto, Canada. They are considered a market leader [1] in the growing virtualization field. PlateSpin won an International Stevie Award in 2006 for best overall company [2].
In 2006, the company reached the milestone of over 2,500 customers worldwide and more than tripled its global headcount to over 150 employees.

PlateSpin focuses on tools to help manage virtualization, using either VMWare or Microsoft Virtual Server. Platespin PowerConvert allows system administrators to migrate applications between physical servers in order to match workload to the machine best suited for the job.
