PlayStation 3 created a one minute film called High Definition which visually illustrates the new high definition function of the forthcoming console.

High Definition enhances game-play in a multitude of ways, from enhancing devastating battles to setting a tranquil safari scene with zebras, meaning the capabilities can be enjoyed by a broad range of tastes.
The film illustrates those capabilities through filming the mundane to suddenly capturing the extraordinary at 625 FPS.

The subject of the film is an elderly woman’s apartment. A mysterious woman’s voice commentates as the apartment explodes into a mass of particles and debris which looks both majestic and visually arresting. She explains the benefits of the high definition functionality, which is illustrated by slow-motion footage.
Further innovative films to illustrate the exciting new features of the PlayStation 3 are set to follow, featuring subject matter as diverse as a peculiar hoarder, the new craze of ‘speed stacking’ and extreme BMX’ing.
