Talk:QVC

While I don't know the all the specifics, it is my understanding that QVC pays cable companies to carry their programming rather the traditional policy of the cable company paying a fee to the cable networks. Someone who knows about this should it to the article--Cab88 07:35, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Incidents
About a year and a half ago, there was a demonstration of a Cook's Essentials frying pan sold with a thick tempered glass press (to press onto food while cooking). One of the hosts placed the glass press onto a "smoothtop" |induction stove - which resulted in shattering the press within seconds. The other host seemed irritated that the other host had thanked for the crew for cleaning up the press' remains. AFAIK, the distributor redesigned the press using stainless steel, instead of tempered glass - which was a bad idea to begin with. I haven't been able to find a video of this incident online, but it sure did happen, maybe any of you would know about this. Jedo1507r 22:44, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
There are many occasions of incidents concerning individuals who call in. I have a copy of a "blooper" tape where many incidents of inappropriate language or sexual deviancy are discussed. Additionally, the late-night shows often receive drunk dials from people all over the country.
