[edit] Questionable Claims
I have removed these claims from this bio page:
He is well known in the investor relations community for being a pioneer in the use of the internet for the dissemination of financial news. He is also the recipient of the Nichols Award for innovative techniques in financial news dissemination. Walkosz is also well known for his 1987 financial column, "Pushing the Panic Button," where he warned, just prior to the October 1987 crash, that indeed such a crash was imminent.
I could not find any references on Google to Walkosz's reputation for pioneering financial news on the Internet. The only Nichols Award I could find is an award for chemistry research, which Walkosz has not won. The news archive databases I checked found only two articles published in 1987 with the title "Pushing the Panic Button". One was an article on the dangers of nicotine gum, and the other was a newspaper editorial that appeared after the stock market crash.
If anyone can find credible sources for these claims please feel free to restore the text. Otherwise, the entire article is looking more and more like a candidate for speedy deletion. -- Tim Pierce 05:15, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
