Rosedale Heights School of the Arts is a public secondary school located in Toronto that emphasizes both the performing and visual arts. Students are required to take a minimum of two arts courses in a school year. It has garnered a reputation as a free spirited school with a strong academic learning environment. The annual exhibitions and productions from the four areas of music, visual arts, dance and theatre have contributed to a growing community interest. In 2005, Rosedale was featured in a Macleans article as one of Canada's top high schools because it offers all students with in interest in the arts an equal opportunity to study in the arts regardless of their socio-economic backgrounds.
