Yes, now, unlike the Electabuzz evo, this Pokemon has a name, and it is my belief that that should qualify this article as a keeper more or less. Thoughts? Erik the Appreciator 18:04, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

We have -

• a name
• a definitive current related Pokémon
• a high level press release (both via Ken Sugimori, and PokéJungle.

[edit] Roseraid

I'm hearing one of the japanese-minded people I know on deviantart calling it Roseraid. If you think about the japanese phonetics of "Rozureido", that's pretty close... any thoughts? Toastypk 07:42, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

I think it's Roserade as in Rose + Masquerade (it wears a mask) but we'll have to wait for the official romanization/English name. --Lividore 12:40, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

Perhaps we should wait until a clearer image comes out. To me, the mask may just be color variation on its face, like Roselia's. "Roserade" does have a nice ring to it though. Still, we probably shouldn't be making guesses that we aren't mostly sure of. --Cherimu is beautiful! 03:30, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Serebii vs The Pika Club

Someone changed some links from Serebii to The Pika Club and then back to Serebii claiming Serebii to be more reliable. It is generally well-known among the Pokémon webmaster community that Serebii's romaji translations are...well, lacking. Serebii generally tries to guess what the translations would be in English, whereas The Pika Club sticks as close to the announced Japanese names as possible. I think this makes more sense and so I am changing the link back to The Pika Club, though I am interested to hear what others think. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 172.213.31.111 (talk • contribs) .

It's staying as Serebii, they, in general, are more reliable and much more notable. I have never heard a mention of the pikaclub. Highway ^{Return to Oz...} 15:41, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

Besides, there's a site where they get their info from. This debate can simply be solved by just looking at the site and using the Hepburn method to romanize them on Wikipedia. By the way, Serebii and Poke-jungle, get the same info from the same Japanese website, this becomes apparent by the order by which they write the attacks, since it mirrors that of this Japanese site: [1]Shaojian 01:01, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

Ultimately, Serebii.net is more reliable. And Serebii never actually guesses te English or Romanized names. He only did that with Lucario, and look how that turned out. He uses the original translations (Manafi instead of Manaphy for example) and that's fine. Double Dash 22:30, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

Simply untrue. The Countering Systemic Bias project allows translation of foreign wikipedia articles and foreign language articles and the reliable sources guideline allows foreign language articles which have to be translated by editors. However, if another English translation exists as a source, it is preferred over an editor's translation, even if the editor possesses a degree of fluency higher than that of the source's.
