Russell Bliss

Russell Bliss was a waste hauler, who is probably most remembered for contaminating the town of Times Beach, Missouri. Bliss was hired by the community in 1971, for almost a decade, he sprayed the streets, not knowing what he was using was harmful. The town was abandoned, due to the high levels of dioxin. Bliss apologized for what he had done in 1983.
