[edit] History
Suburbs Vs. Cities formed on July 25th, 2006 in Zany's garage. Three of the band's members had been in a band called The 501st (pronounced "The Five-O-First) a couple of months previous to SVC, and had gotten nowhere. Dylan, Scotty, and Zany had been jamming on July 24th, and realized that they should form a band. They called Mike V., Martin Brunstein, and Vinni over the next day.
Within a couple of hours, their first song, "Cyber Surprises," was created. The very next practice, "P-Town" was created. Within the next three practices, SVC had created two more song, entitled "Bayside Breakdown" & "Too Long, Too Hard" (later came to be "Switch It Up"). The band was amazed by their own song-output rate, and were sure they would be playing shows in no time.
On November 11th, 2006 SVC played at their first party. On December 16th, 2006 they played their first show at the local Youth Center, alongside A Class Act, Tensegrity Nine, and Speak Easy.
Within six months of being together, the band has created 9 original songs, and has covered one song ("Super Rad!" by The Aquabats!). SVC is currently in the process of recording a 5-song EP at Dogbark Studio. The EP is expected to be released Mid-April 2007.
