Ten Outstanding Young Persons
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ten Outstanding Young Persons (Chinese: 十大傑出青年) is a prestigious award given annually to ten young people in the Republic of China (Taiwan) recognizing their achievements. Most, if not all, of the recipients are honored for their excellence in the academics or in the sports, even though they came from humble, or even impoverished, backgrounds. It was first given in 1963.
A similar (but unrelated) award is given annually in Hong Kong by the Junior Chamber International Hong Kong.
