It's Dorothy and Blanche vs. Rose and Sophia in a bowling competition. If Dorothy and Blanche win Sophia will give Blanche a pair of antique earrings, if Rose and Sophia win Dorothy will allow Sophia to go back to Sicily for a visit with an old beau.

- If you pay really close attention to the bowling alley scenes, you can see the extras laughing at the witty remarks and slams the girls say to one another.

- When Blanche come home to show off her new bowling ball, she takes it out and you can see six or seven lights reflected on it, obviously the studio lights.
- When the competition starts Dorothy states that they're bowling in Alley 7, but when she takes her lost shot, Alley 1 is shown.

- Blanche: All we do is practice! Every morning before work, every evening after work....all I ever wanted was to look cute in my new bowling outfit.
- Rose: You want to have a side bet with me, Blanche?
Blanche: Well, I would, Rose, but everything you own is so damn ugly. Oh, I can't wait to whip your butt!
- Sophia: (to Rose) Many, many times, I've wished you were my daughter.
