I am a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) and Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. I also have background as a classical musician and a copy editor.
I'm a disability activist and queer activist and am very likely to edit biased language I see in articles, even when the subject of the article isn't disability or sexuality. It's quite common on Wikipedia (and in a lot of media) for people to use terms such as "schizophrenics" or "bulimics" or "people who suffer from cerebral palsy." If you don't understand why this usage is ableist, go here: http://www.apastyle.org/disabilities.html
The usage guides for sexuality and race/ethnicity are also good: http://www.apastyle.org/sexuality.html http://www.apastyle.org/race.html
Some day I might actually take the time to put in the little icon dealies showing what languages I speak and what expertise I have and all that stuff that good little Wikipedians have in their user pages.
