A car door is generally an opening to enter to the car (or their compartments or partition), often equipped with a hinged or sliding panel which can be moved to leave the opening accessible, or to close it more or less securely.

Cars are usually sold as "three-door" or "five-door" models. In these cases, the number includes the trunk or boot door, so a three-door car has two front doors plus the trunk, and a five-door car has two front doors, two rear doors and the trunk.
