Younger Brother was formed in 2003 by Simon Posford and Benji Vaughan. Their particular genre of music is difficult to accurately classify as it suggests many different forms of electronic music without subscribing to a specific style. The debut album released on the Twisted Records record label has taken on cult status[citation needed] in underground electronica scenes around the world; with the duo drawing crowds from across the globe. Speculation surrounding an impending second album due for release in 2007 spread, fuelled by their MySpace site, featuring demos which may appear in a second album. In December 2006, this rumour was confirmed with the announcement that their second album would be called "The Last Days of Gravity" and should be ready for release around May 25, 2007.
