Film on Thursday was an award winning film club based in a 200 seat cinema and bar in Nettlefold Hall West Norwood (where part of Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange was filmed) which is part of the library centre.
The club opened on Thursday 28th Oct 2004, showing 'Cinema Paradiso' and showed a film every other Thursday from a large spectrum including world cinema, independents, classics and shorts by new and established directors.
The club also hosted regular events evenings with themed food and drink, music and special guests for example a Brazilian evening to coincide with the screening of City of God and a Spanish night to complement Kika.
The club was a member of the British Federation of Film Societies (BFFS).
