[edit] Two-sided?
Neither FOTW or flags.net appear to indicate that the obverse and reverse sides of this flag differ, yet the article states this as fact (and provides an illustration). What's the source of this claim? Is the design actually supposed to be two-sided? --ScottMainwaring 05:47, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
- The source is the official website of the President of the Republic Moldova. More precisely, from here (in Romanian) (same link, in English). Here is an interesting thing: this is supposed to be the state flag; but if you track pictures with the flag in the background, you can see that the coat of arms appears on the reverse as well, but mirrored (as on the flag of Spain). This may be caused by the fact that the cloth of the flag is too thin, and the printed image of the coat of arms appears mirrored. I just suppose, because I don't live in Moldova. - Thanks! (Strangely, the English link doesn't address the question, but the Romanian link clearly shows a two-sided design.) --ScottMainwaring 22:20, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
