Free People is a women's clothing store operated by Urban Outfitters. The first location opened at the Garden State Plaza shopping mall in Paramus, New Jersey, in 2002. As of January 2007, there are 8 store locations, all on the east coast. Some of the newest stores are in McLean, Virginia, at Tysons Corner, Garden City, New York, at Roosevelt Field Mall. There is also a new store in Boston, Massachusetts, at the Prudential Center.
Free People has colorful, eccentric, creative designs. It is renowned for its use of floral and faunal leitmotivs throughout its line. The pieces are reminiscent of 'Boho-chic' styles, and are somewhat quirky.
The clothing line can be found at Bloomingdale's, Macy's, Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor, and other department stores.
California, Illinois and Connecticut stores coming soon. You must be 18 or over to work there though
