Frost Brewed
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Frost Brewed is a marketing term owned by the Molson Coors Brewing Company. The marketing term comes with a claim that Coors Light beer is brewed at 34 degrees. This is somewhat deceptive, as it is impossible for yeast to ferment at 34 degrees, but it is not an outright lie as Coors is most likely referring to the "lagering" stage of brewing, which is done to smooth out the lager after fermenting takes place. Lagering is done cold by nearly every major and minor lager in production.
Coors may own the marketing term "Frost Brewed" but it refers to a common process done since 1840.
