James of Savoy, Count of Romont, Lord of the Vaud (1460-1486), Savoyard Ruler in France. Arms: Gules, a cross Argent, all contained within a bordure Azure, charged with eight bezants of the second. The shield ensigned with a barred Nobleman's helm affrotée and encircled by the French Order of the Camail (called the "Porcupine"). Crest: On a wreath of the colours, a Lion's head affrontée or between two Eagle's wings displayed of the last. Supporters: Two Bears coward proper. Motto: 'Cominus Eminus".
