La New York University (ou NYU) est une grande université privée américaine située à New York. Elle est parmi les universités les plus prestigieuses des États-Unis. Son campus principal est situé dans le quartier de Greenwich Village de Manhattan. Fondée en 1831 par l'homme politique états-unien Albert Gallatin, et un groupe de New Yorkais, la New York University est devenue la plus grande université privée à but non lucratif des États-Unis, avec un nombre total d'étudiants supérieur à 50 000. L'université regroupe 15 Schools, Colleges et Divisions dans six centres principaux situés à Manhattan.
