English: The Church of the Holy Wisdom, commonly known as Hagia Sophia in English, is a former Greek Orthodox church converted to a mosque, now a museum, in Istanbul. It is universally acknowledged as one of the great buildings of the world.
Deutsch: Die Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. Nach ihrer Fertigstellung wurde sie Ende 537 geweiht und vom Ökumenischen Partriarchat bis zum Fall Konstantinopels als Kirche genutzt, dann bis 1932 als Moschee. 1935 wurde das Gebäude säkularisiert und ist jetzt Museum.
Français : Hagia Sophia, plus connue en français sous le nom de basilique Sainte-Sophie, est une ancienne église de Constantinople qui fut convertie en mosquée suite à la prise de la ville par les Turcs, et est maintenant un musée, à Istanbul.
