From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Glenn Milne is a Sydney journalist and political commentator. He currently works for News Ltd as political editor of the Sunday Telegraph newspaper, and as a columnist for The Australian newspaper. He was a former chief political correspondent for Channel 7. He is sometimes derogatively referred to as the "poison dwarf," a name given to him by former Australian prime minister Paul Keating.
He is currently a Vice President of the Australian Press Club of Australia.
[edit] Controversy
Milne was involved in a scuffle onstage with crikey.com.au founder Stephen Mayne at the 2006 Walkley Awards. He pushed him off the stage and verbally abused him, before being restrained and removed by security staff. [1] He later released a statement apologising for his actions, and claimed that his behaviour was caused by a combination of alcohol and migraine medication. [2]
