Gordon Chalk

Sir Gordon William Wesley Chalk KBE (1913-1991) was Premier of Queensland for a week, from 1 August to 8 August 1968 following the death of Jack Pizzey. He was the first, and so far only, Queensland Premier from the modern Liberal Party of Australia.
Chalk was Deputy Premier and Treasurer of Queensland 1968-76, as well as leader of the Queensland Liberal Party.
