Greenslopes Private Hospital is private health care provider located in Brisbane, Australia. Now named Australia's Best Private Hospital, as voted in the 1999 Australian Private Hospitals Association, Hospital Quality of Excellence Award. The hospital provides care for a large number of patients each year since it was formerly a Commonwealth Government-run hospital for war veterans, established in 1942. It is located within the Greenslopes suburb, on a ridge leading east from Stephens Mountain, a low hill still covered in scrub and overlooking Norman Creek to the west. The hospital, surrounded by quiet streets, lies some distance from the nearest main roads, a factor which has caused friction with local residents over traffic, parking and redevelopment issues in recent years.
Greenslopes Private Hospital is now one of the most personal and progressive health care services in the country, now incorporating 24 hour emergency care services to Brisbane residents.
