Grutas parkas

Grutas Park is located in southern Lithuania. It opened on 1st of April 2001. It was the idea of entrepreneur Viliumas Malinauskas.
Dubbed Stalin's World, this controversial park houses a large collection of soviet memorabilia. The attractions include a collection of large, bronze statues that once stared down upon the general public in a Big Brother fashion. The statues are of Stalin, Lenin and other communist heroes. The most most famous of the statues is the gigantic Lenin who stood, until 1995, outside the KGB headquarters.
A wooden path runs through a site which was built to resemble a Siberian concentration camp. Exhibits comprise of watch towers, barbed wire and a single 'Prison Train' that was used to transport Jews.
Other attaractions contained: a playground, ice-cream stall, mini zoo for children, a restaurant and a souvenir shop.
