Hal Hannaford has spent his entire professional life in education. He studied at Queen's University (Economics), Concordia University (B. Comm.), University of Toronto (B. Ed.), and INSEAD (M.B.A.). As a teacher, he has had experience at both an elementary and high school level in Canada; and at university where he was a part of the Faculty of International Business at the American University in Paris. He was the Founding Headmaster of Kingsway College School in Toronto. He came to Royal St. George's College in 1996 as Headmaster. He has a keen interest in music, athletics and public speaking and he and his wife Susan have two children; Alisse and Reid.
Hal Hannaford is also an accomplished auctioneer. He provides such services to various charitable and educational organizations including The Children's Aid Foundation, Pen Canada and York University.
