Ho'oponopono
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ho'oponopono is a form of family therapy used in the state of Hawaii, in the United States. Its practitioners believe that it is a revival of ancient Hawaiian practices. Family members -- a nuclear family and perhaps close relatives -- meet to try to "make right" broken family relations ("making right" is the literal translation of the Hawaiian term). Most ho’oponopono sessions include "prayer, discussion, confession, repentance, mutual restitution, and forgiveness" (Cody, p. 207).
