Hussain Yasser Abdulrahman

Hussain Yasser is a Qatari footballer who plays for Al Rayyan in the Q-League. In August 2005 Manchester City manager Stuart Pearce signed him on the recommendation of former City player Ali Benarbia who played with him in Qatar. But he could only play for the reserve team and he was released in Jan 2006. He returned to Qatar and played the 2005-2006 season for Al-Sadd, winning the Q-League and the Heir Apparent Trophy.In 2006-2007, he signed for Al-Rayyan. (by Ahmed Hashim KT)
Hussain played very well in the 18th Gulf Cup held in the United Arab Emirates in late January of 2007. Qatar team did not win, but Hussain impressed many. There was a request for him to enter one of UAE clubs, but for the moment, he says that he still has a contract with Al-Rayyan and isn't thinking far into the future for now.
