ilo technologies is a Wal-Mart consumer electronics house brand. Wal-Mart sells many low cost entry-level consumer electronics products under the ilo name.
Wal-Mart launched its ilo brand late 2004. One of the first electronic products to be sold under the new name was a 256MB MP3 player, which was manufactured by Rio Audio.
As with many house brands, no single company manufactures all ilo products. For example, most large ilo televisions are built by ESI/Akai, while most small ilo televisions are built by LG or Polaroid. Although ilo is a Wal-Mart only brand, its counterparts are available nation wide.
Not to be confused with "ilo", a San Francisco based art and design studio established in 1995, who receives hundreds of calls from angry Wal-Mart customers.
