Indian National Security Issues

India is facing many security related problems. Terrorism in Kashmir is continuing from 1989 unabated. Naxal violence, which was originated from Andhrapradesh has now extended to many of the neighbouring state. Attempts to create Red corrdor from Nepal to Kanyakumari has created security concerns. Terrorism in Northeast is becoming untractable. The animosity between Hindus and Muslims erupt periodically as communal riots. Terrorism in Panjab has been eliminated and the Tamil support to LTTE is under control. But, the State sponsored Terrorism by Pakistan and Bangladesh is aimed at bringing all the terrorist organizations under one common command.
Demographic change is being attempted by separatist organization in Northeastern states. Bangladeshi immigrants are increasing in the border states of Bihar, Assam, Orissa, West Bengal and in parts of Uttarachal and Uttarpradesh. Maoists of Nepal and Bhutan is creating newer security problems to India.
