Jamie D. Harmeyer (born December 29, 1979) is a media producer on the Howard Stern Radio Show, where the staff refer to him as 'J.D.'. He joined the show as an intern in January 2003 and is currently responsible for pulling audio and video clips from television programs and pornographic movies. J.D. graduated from the Full Sail Real World Education college located in Winter Park, Florida from which he obtained a degree in film.
As with all other Stern staff members, Harmeyer is not immune to on-air mockery, typically about his recently-lost virginity[1] or about his Napoleon Dynamite-like voice and demeanor. During the January 2006 Stern Show Staff Revelation special, Harmeyer revealed that he had spent over $10,000 on Internet pornography, primarily to women with personal webcams.[2][3] To the particular amusement of the rest of the show's staff and audience, Harmeyer revealed that his username was "Daba", short for "Da Bad Ass".[4]
On the February 2, 2006 Stern Show, Harmeyer had a webcam "date" with "Kissyphur", where he was mocked for being quiet, unemotional, and rather aggressive with the webcam operator.[5]
Harmeyer was the subject of the 2006 Howard Stern Film Festival entry "Eating Fruit Salad", wherein a male filmmaker masquerades as a female on MySpace in order to gain JD's affection. JD played on the "boys" team comprised of fellow Stern Show staffers in the "Stupid Bowl." While Howard ridiculed the rest of the team, he complimented JD on his athletic ability.
