[edit] Career
JD competed in several other sports growing up including-- hockey (10 years), soccer, martial arts and in his senior year of high school football, he was the recipient of the HeadHunter Award for the most sacks in one season as a middle linebacker at only 140lbs.
JD began wrestling at the age of 18 and broke in on the road with various veteran professional wrestlers across western Canada. He went to an evaluation at Ohio Valley Wrestling (a WWE developmental territory) in late 2004 and in late 2005 attended private workouts with former WWE/WCW/ECW star Lance Storm at the Storm Wrestling Academy in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. In 2005, JD appeared on WWE Velocity as well as 2 appearances on PPV with AWE out of Winnipeg, MB. He bears an uncanny resemblance to WWE wrestler; Shawn Michaels.
JD has worked for over 30 federations--mostly in Canada, USA and Europe. Due to immigration issues in '06, JD had to turn down a tour of Japan. In early '07, JD was brought on board to United Wrestling Federation owned by Nascar driver- Hermie Sadler and former WWE referee, Earl Hebner.
JD married April Hunter (centerfold model and pro-wrestler) on August 30, 2006 in a private ceremony at The Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
